High school sweethearts, Nick and Savannah wanted a romantic wedding, filled with rustic elements and romantic details to reflect their epic romance. They picked the Green Gables Wedding Estate for its outdoor charm, which perfectly complimented their garden theme. I had the great pleasure of working with Nick and Savannah on their wedding design, helping them identify, plan and then craft all of the little details that went into creating those special accents that made their wedding an unforgettable experience for friends and family. Check out some of the highlights below.
Kevin and Shannon wanted an initiate ceremony for their friends and family, so they rented a house on Moonlight beach to host their special day. It was the perfect venue, enhancing their “sea side” theme with stunning views of one of San Diego’s most famous beaches and historic landmarks. It was an honor helping Shannon and Kevin with their day-of coordination, working closely with them both beforehand on day-of planning and timelines to ensure their wedding day was exactly what they envisioned. Check out some of the beautiful highlights from their “Donnellan by the Sea” ceremony.
Matt and Chelsea picked the perfect venue, Levyland Estates for their elegant beach wedding. This modern house, with stunning views, offered the perfect, intimate space for friends and family to gather from around the world to celebrate Matt and Chelsea’s big day. I had the pleasure of working with Matt and Chelsea on the event design, which included all of the little elements that went into making their wedding truly spectacular, and the day-of coordination, which included planning and executing a timeline that enabled the seamless execution of their wedding. Check out some of the breathtaking photos from when these two Cookes said “I Do.”
This past weekend, I had the pleasure of doing the design and coordination for a dear friend’s wedding in upstate New York. It was a magical day filled with love, laughter and happiness. I’m so greatful to have been a part of it. Check out the photos of Jessie & Chris’ Ferraioli Tale.
It’s no surprise that as part of my job at ACTIVE, I get pulled into some pretty fun projects. For example, HACKTIVE, the first event of its kind for ACTIVE, which allowed the public to participate in a company hackathon. Nearly 50 developers joined us over the weekend to hack ACTIVE’s APIs at Co-Merge downtown. Contestants had 24-hours to develop an original app that was relevant to the theme of getting more people active. I had a blast setting up the venue and ensuring developers were well fed & caffeinated for the duration of the hackathon. Plus, I even stepped in as professional photographer.
Here are some of the highlights. My favorites are the snack bar & HACKTIVE sign.
This year, I had the pleasure of coordinating ACTIVE Network’s summer party at the Del Mar Races. With over 800 employees in their San Diego office, one of their goals was ensuring that employees had a chance to get to … Continue reading →
I had the honor of being the day-of coordinator for Lance and Shannon Hayes’ wedding this past February. It was such a joy being a part of their special day. These two are one amazing couple and I wish them a long and happy life together.
“My husband and I had no idea how much we needed Aleksandra until we did. She was so on top of everything and was ready to help and organize the things we hadn’t even thought of yet. After our wedding both of our families were commenting on how well things flowed and how great things were, and it really was because of her. One of the best things about having her was not having to worry about all of the details the day of and just being able to enjoy every moment because we knew she was there for us to make things perfect.”
I’m so excited that today my husband and I were featured on one of my all time favorite wedding blogs, Wedding Chicks. A huge thank you again to all of our friends and family who made our special day possible. This is icing on the cake! Check it out here.
I took a recent trip to San Francisco with my husband, and his brother took us to this amazing store in the Mission called Paxton Gate. The store was filled with treasures and oddities inspired by the garden and natural sciences and it got me to thinking how fun a science themed wedding or event would be. Here is a gallery of inspiration.
